From Itacaré we traveled with the (Rota) bus to Taboquinhas, a large rural village with much small-scale agriculture. Taboquinhas is surrounded by exuberant natural beauty and situated along a beautiful river (Rio das Contas). The village has two Pousadas. We chose the new Taboquinhas Pousada Crecêncio, an apartment building with about 10 tidy rooms and adjoining modern bathroom. On both sides a veranda with nice views. The rooms to approach via a central walkway.
This Pousada is owned by a nice and enterprising family. Reception for the Pousada takes place in the agricultural products shop ‘Dois Irmãos’, situated at the bottom of Taboquinhas, near the ferry boat. Moizes and Valeria, a young couple, are managing the Pousada beside their shop.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner takes place in the village. We usually choose for ‘Restaurant Docinho’ because of their quality and the respectful service by the lady of the house. Price tag: approx: R$ 25, – p.p.p.d., drinks included.
For the Pousada we paid it R$ 45,- per night for three persons, excluding breakfast. We absolutely appreciate this Pousada as worthwhile to use and explore more of Taboquinhas (famous for ‘Rafting’) and its beautiful surrounding.
