Homy Itacare Pousada Casa Zaza

As planned, we visited Itacare Pousada Casa Zaza this year. Dutchman Eddy and his Brazilian wife Rose manage Casa Zaza, often assisted by Rogierio (speaks English), the brother of Rose. The positive references (Tripadvisor) have been judged right. A good price / performance ratio. An excellent and extremely friendly -homy- basis for foreign visitors in order to experience this beautiful area.

We made the trip from Salvador, where we stayed a night in front of the statue of Castro Alves near up-town Pelourinho. The next morning via the ferry to Itaparíca, a nice trip. There we took the express coach service from Aquia Branca to Itacaré (about 6 hours, a comfortable journey for R$ 32, – pp). At Casa Zaza we paid the standard price of R$ 140, – per night for two people and a few bucks extra for our grandson.

The Pousada is located in the Concha, a popular area for visitors of Itacaré, situated between the beaches and the town. Most places are easily accessible on foot.
